馬場孝喜-Baba Takayoshi

京都府出身。
中学時代からギターを始める。

2004 年、ニューヨーク〜ブラジルに渡航し、ギタリスト Bilinho Teixeiraに師事。ボサノバ、サンバ、ショーロなどのブラジル音楽に傾倒する。
2005 年、ギブソン・ジャズギターコンテスト最優秀ギタリスト賞受賞。
2006 年 11 月 25 日に京都コンサートホールで行なわれた「佐山雅弘 PLAYS ゴールドベルク変奏曲」第二部の佐山雅弘トリオに参加。
2008 年より拠点を関西から東京に移す。

2013 年 11 月 20 日、初となるリーダーアルバム「GRAY – ZONE」をSong & Co.レーベルよりリリース。

以降、石川早苗、小林鈴勘とのユニット trigraph のアルバム「FEVER]（2014 年）、ジャズシンガー 寳子久美子とのライブアルバ「LIVE AT ROOM335」（2017 年）、ジャズピアニスト 堀秀彰とのユニットによる「レゾナンス」（2019 年）、ボーカル 清水翠とのアルバム「Blue Rose」（2019 年）、ベーシスト 加藤真一とのアルバム「ETUDE」（2021 年）と共作を多数発表している。

2023年6月14日には、ボーカリスト Nobieとの共作「おわりとはじまり」をリリースした。

さらに、2026年1月24日には、馬場孝喜単独名義のアルバムJOURNEYをリリースした。

また、Nobie のライブ版「”Especial” Live @ praça 11 Special Edition」（2013 年）、ジャズピアニスト 大西順子のアルバム「Very Special 」（2017 年）、Nobie が Lionel Loueke と Toninho Horta を迎えて制作したアルバム「Benin Rio Tokyo」（2018 年）、シンガーソングライター 遠藤雅美のアルバム「青春」（2018 年）、シンガー ウィリアムズ浩子のアルバム「My Room Another Side」（2022 年）等、数多くのアルバムに参加している。​

その他、佐山雅弘、井上智、大坂昌彦、沢田穣治など多数のミュージシャンと共演するとともに、由紀さおり、May J.、渡辺真知子などのコンサートのギターも務めるなど、ジャンルを超えて、数多くのミュージシャンに支持されている。

TAKAYOSHI BABA
Born in Kyoto, Japan.
Takayoshi started playing the guitar during his junior high school years.
In 2004, he traveled to New York and Brazil, where he studied under guitarist Bilinho Teixeira and became deeply immersed in Brazilian music, including bossa nova, samba, and choro. In 2005, he won the Most Outstanding Guitarist Award at the Gibson Jazz Guitar Contest.
On November 25, 2006, he performed as part of the Masahiro Sayama Trio in the second half of the concert “Masahiro Sayama PLAYS Goldberg Variations” held at the Kyoto Concert Hall. In 2008, he relocated his base of operations from the Kansai region to Tokyo.
On November 20, 2013, he released his debut album as a leader, “GRAY-ZONE”, on the Song & Co. label.
Since then, he has released numerous collaborative works, including “FEVER” (2014) with trigraph (a trio featuring Sanae Ishikawa and Reikan Kobayashi); “LIVE AT ROOM335 ”(2017), a live album with jazz singer Kumiko Takarako; “Resonance” (2019) with jazz pianist Hideaki Hori; “Blue Rose” (2019) with vocalist Midori Shimizu; and ETUDE (2021) with bassist Shinichi Kato.
On June 14, 2023, he released “Owari to Hajimari” in collaboration with vocalist Nobie. And on January 24, 2026, he released “JOURNEY”, his first album under his own name, Takayoshi Baba.
He has also participated in numerous albums as a guest or session musician, including Nobie’s live album “”Especial” Live @ praça 11 Special Edition” (2013), jazz pianist Junko Onishi’s album “Very Special” (2017), Nobie’s “Benin Rio Tokyo” (2018) featuring Lionel Loueke and Toninho Horta, singer-songwriter Masami Endo’s album ‟Seishun” (2018), and singer Hiroko Williams’s album ‟My Room Another Side” (2022).
In addition to sharing the stage with prominent musicians such as Masahiro Sayama, Satoshi Inoue, Masahiko Osaka, and Jyoji Sawada, he has also played guitar for concerts of major artists like Saori Yuki, May J., and Machiko Watanabe. His versatile musicianship has earned him strong support from a wide range of artists across genres.
